Other Opportunities

  • Each February our chapter makes and sells chocolate heart lollipops, called Delta Treats, to students around campus for Valentine’s Day. The lolipops are sent through campus mail to the desired recipient just in time for the holiday. All proceeds go to St. Jude and last year we raised over $400 from our sales.

This past fall we held our first Chili's Chalk Off.  A large Chili was created that campus members could sign for a dollar, showing their support for the fight against childhood cancer.  This event was part of Tri Delta's partnership with Chili's in supporting St. Jude. Our 2010 Chili's Chalk Off will be held on October 1st!

Also this fall, our chapter co-sponsored a philanthropy event, Grillel-Phry Kappa Psi featuring Tri-Tomato, with the Hillel Society and Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, where we sold grilled cheese sandwiches with proceeds benefitting the Boys and Girls Club and Save a Child's Heart.  Together, we raised over $300 for these charities!

For Halloween, Tri Delta participated in Easton't Light the Night initiative, to provide a safe trick-or-treating opportunity for youth. We enjoyed constructing our Aladdin themed cardboard castle for the kids to visit trick-or-treating.

This past spring, our chapter participated in the first annual Lafayette Panhellenic Powderpuff Game. We made a donation to the winning team’s philanthropy, Service for Sight.

Each spring, Lafayette’s Tri Deltas enthusiastically participate in the Sorority Lip Sync Competition which is part Pi Beta Phi and Kappa Delta Rho’s Dance Marathon, with proceeds supporting local charities. This year our performance was titled “Las Vegas” and we tied for 1st place in the competition!

This spring, Tri Deltas participated together in the Relay for Life event.

The impact of our chapter extends beyond our group projects to personal initiatives of sisters as community volunteers, Landis Community Outreach staff members, Alternative School Break Club members, and more!
